Charity, served on the Transit Advisory Committee, SOAR School-Age Implementation and Action Teams, State Independent Living Council and State Rehabilitation Council and she served on the NICU Advisory Board.. In the past she been an AmeriCorps Member and volunteer trainer, then a project coordinator for an Agency. She conducted workshops on self-advocacy and self-determination. She conducted, assisted and presented at various retreats and conferences. She trained project trainers, developed quarterly newsletters, and conducted project overviews. Through Life she have sat on many advisory boards and committees: Mayors Advisory Board, Project Heaven Advisory Board, (HOYO) Home of Your Own Committee, Path Advisory Board, Healthy Futures Advisory Board, Correlation Transportation Advisory Board, Abused Women Advisory Committee. She served on several boards: the Metro Transit Advisory Committee, SOAR ‘School-Age Implementation and Action Teams, and NICU’ Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Advisory Board.
In addition, She has conducted sensitive trainings for private and non private organizations and other service providers in such as: High Schools/ Universities/ MIID Conference \ now known as APSE Mental Health/ Mental Retardation Conference / Local Chapters in the State/ The Arc Annual Conference / Recreation Conference / Disability Day at the Capitol/ Different Regional Facilities.
In 2012 Charity faced the utmost challenge in her life, she became pregnant. During pregnancy she suffered a great deal of physical pain and ended up in the Hospital, on bedrest for months. She went into early labor. with the support of her Husband, family and friends she birth her son, Julien. He was born two months early. Although the baby stayed in NICU for months, he is a growing healthy baby boy. In 2018 she birth another amazing baby boy, Jeremiah. He was born with the same disability as his mom. He has Osteogenesis and he’s short stature. Although he was born with 75% of his bones fractured or broken, he is growing into an awesome baby boy, with the help of his mom and dad.. Charity is now working full time as the CEO of their business Drummond Twins Ent.
